Al Jama ah was born from a simple yet profound observation: the distance between a person and their faith should never feel insurmountable. Whether it is the distance between a busy family in an African city and the Islamic guidance they seek, or the thousands of miles separating a brother or sister in the diaspora from the homeland they love, these gaps can weaken our connection to Allah and to each other. Our name, meaning "The Community" or "The Gathering," is our promise. We are here to be the gathering point.
